1台湾著名作家余光中的散文处女作即《左手的缪思》,初版于1963年,而我手边正摊开的,却是1980年4月台湾时报出版公司新版重印本。此书在大陆难以寻找,即使各大图书馆,亦不大好找。我1993年暑假去深圳,访该市图书馆,专门找到港台原版的书架,可怜兮兮的就那么几本书,很让人痛惜――一座城市,若没有让人羡慕的1tai wan zhe ming zuo jia yu guang zhong de san wen chu nv zuo ji 《zuo shou de miao sai 》,chu ban yu 1963nian ,er wo shou bian zheng tan kai de ,que shi 1980nian 4yue tai wan shi bao chu ban gong si xin ban chong yin ben 。ci shu zai da liu nan yi xun zhao ,ji shi ge da tu shu guan ,yi bu da hao zhao 。wo 1993nian shu jia qu shen zhen ,fang gai shi tu shu guan ,zhuan men zhao dao gang tai yuan ban de shu jia ,ke lian xi xi de jiu na me ji ben shu ,hen rang ren tong xi ――yi zuo cheng shi ,re mei you rang ren xian mu de

与美丽的痒(吻)一样,左手的缪思(大陆译作缪斯),的确是余光中独创的词语。这个书名的来历,早已成为台湾文学史中的一个典故:当时用《左手的缪思》为书名,朋友们都觉得相当新鲜,也有读者表示不解。其实我用左手这意象,只是表示副产,并寓自谦之意。成语有旁门左道之说,台语有正手(右)倒手(左)之分,在英文里,左手的(left-)更有别扭与笨拙之意。――仅了解其书名之来历,似乎已窥见作者的功力和惊人之笔。yu mei li de yang (wen )yi yang ,zuo shou de miao sai (da liu yi zuo miao si ),de que shi yu guang zhong du chuang de ci yu 。zhe ge shu ming de lai li ,zao yi cheng wei tai wan wen xue shi zhong de yi ge dian gu :dang shi yong 《zuo shou de miao sai 》wei shu ming ,peng you men dou jiao de xiang dang xin xian ,ye you dou zhe biao shi bu jie 。ji shi wo yong zuo shou zhe yi xiang ,zhi shi biao shi fu chan ,bing yu zi qian zhi yi 。cheng yu you pang men zuo dao zhi shui ,tai yu you zheng shou (you )dao shou (zuo )zhi fen ,zai ying wen li ,zuo shou de (left-)geng you bie niu yu ben zhuo zhi yi 。――jin le jie ji shu ming zhi lai li ,shi hu yi kui jian zuo zhe de gong li he jing ren zhi bi 。
实则,若论余氏之妙手,诚如香港作家黄维梁所云,余光中应该有四只手:右手写诗,左手攻散文,第三第四只手专事批评和翻译。《左手的缪思》结集出版时,余氏早已硕果累累:出版了四本诗集,三本译诗集,一本翻译小说,一本翻译传记。shi ze ,re lun yu shi zhi miao shou ,cheng ru xiang gang zuo jia huang wei liang suo yun ,yu guang zhong ying gai you si zhi shou :you shou xie shi ,zuo shou gong san wen ,di san di si zhi shou zhuan shi pi ping he fan yi 。《zuo shou de miao sai 》jie ji chu ban shi ,yu shi zao yi shuo guo lei lei :chu ban le si ben shi ji ,san ben yi shi ji ,yi ben fan yi xiao shui ,yi ben fan yi chuan ji 。

原来,九位缪斯之中,未闻有司散文之女神,而《左手的缪思》的出现,那真是为上个世纪五六十年代寂寞、凄凉的中国文坛,闪现出的一道曙光。yuan lai ,jiu wei miao si zhi zhong ,wei wen you si san wen zhi nv shen ,er 《zuo shou de miao sai 》de chu xian ,na zhen shi wei shang ge shi ji wu liu shi nian dai ji mo 、qi liang de zhong guo wen tan ,shan xian chu de yi dao shu guang 。
如论余光中与五四白话散文之源流关系,台湾诗人杨牧曾说过这样的话:徐志摩以诗人之笔为散文,洒脱浪漫,草木人事莫不有情,激越飘逸,影响见于苏雪林,何其芳,张秀亚,胡品清,陈之藩,萧白,余光中。(《文学的源流中国近代散文》)此话说得很中肯。不过这也仅仅从一个侧面概括了余光中。我以为,若真正把握其实质,余光中之散文,有着钱锺书散文的某些素质。本来,在《左手的缪思》中,他更多的献给读者的,是渊博的诗、画、音乐的典故与知识,是独具余氏散文语言的弹性和变化别致的句式及结构。读钱锺书的散文,我们常常惊叹其用典的艰涩而密不透风;而读余光中的散文,我们仿佛看到了其依然追求意象、用典之典雅,但密而有间,又平易近人。他的散文仿佛达到了情趣、智慧和学问的有机融合。ru lun yu guang zhong yu wu si bai hua san wen zhi yuan liu guan ji ,tai wan shi ren yang mu ceng shui guo zhe yang de hua :xu zhi ma yi shi ren zhi bi wei san wen ,sa tuo lang man ,cao mu ren shi mo bu you qing ,ji yue piao yi ,ying xiang jian yu su xue lin ,he ji fang ,zhang xiu ya ,hu pin qing ,chen zhi fan ,xiao bai ,yu guang zhong 。(《wen xue de yuan liu zhong guo jin dai san wen 》)ci hua shui de hen zhong ken 。bu guo zhe ye jin jin cong yi ge ce mian gai gua le yu guang zhong 。wo yi wei ,re zhen zheng ba wo ji shi zhi ,yu guang zhong zhi san wen ,you zhao qian zhong shu san wen de mou xie su zhi 。ben lai ,zai 《zuo shou de miao sai 》zhong ,ta geng duo de suo gei dou zhe de ,shi yuan bo de shi 、hua 、yin le de dian gu yu zhi shi ,shi du ju yu shi san wen yu yan de dan xing he bian hua bie zhi de gou shi ji jie gou 。dou qian zhong shu de san wen ,wo men chang chang jing tan ji yong dian de jian se er mi bu tou feng ;er dou yu guang zhong de san wen ,wo men fang fo kan dao le ji yi ran zhui qiu yi xiang 、yong dian zhi dian ya ,dan mi er you jian ,you ping yi jin ren 。ta de san wen fang fo da dao le qing qu 、zhi hui he xue wen de you ji rong ge 。
  余光中的散文观在其书中已略见端倪,似乎亦不该掉以轻心。当时作者最讨厌的是:流行在文坛上的散文,不是挤眉弄眼,向缪思调情,便是嚼舌磨牙,一味贫嘴,不到1CC的思想竟兑上10加仑的文字。那么,余氏到底要提倡什么样的散文呢?  yu guang zhong de san wen guan zai ji shu zhong yi lve jian duan ni ,shi hu yi bu gai diao yi qing xin 。dang shi zuo zhe zui tao ya de shi :liu hang zai wen tan shang de san wen ,bu shi ji mei long yan ,xiang miao sai diao qing ,bian shi jiao she mo ya ,yi wei pin zui ,bu dao 1CCde sai xiang jing dui shang 10jia lun de wen zi 。na me ,yu shi dao de yao di chang shen me yang de san wen ne ?
我所期待的散文,应该有声,有色,有光;应该有木箫的甜味,釜形大铜鼓的骚响,有旋转自如像虹一样的光谱,而明灭闪烁于字里行间的,应该有一种奇幻的光,当他的思想与文字相遇,每如撒盐于烛,会喷出七色的火花。wo suo ji dai de san wen ,ying gai you sheng ,you se ,you guang ;ying gai you mu xiao de tian wei ,fu xing da tong gu de sao xiang ,you xuan zhuai zi ru xiang hong yi yang de guang pu ,er ming mie shan shuo yu zi li hang jian de ,ying gai you yi chong ji huan de guang ,dang ta de sai xiang yu wen zi xiang yu ,mei ru sa yan yu zhu ,hui pen chu qi se de huo hua 。
纵观当代两岸散文之发展,从理论与实践的结合上,能达此境界者,鲜矣;而余光中的散文处女作,正是通往这一境界的拓荒者。zong guan dang dai liang an san wen zhi fa zhan ,cong li lun yu shi jian de jie ge shang ,neng da ci jing jie zhe ,xian yi ;er yu guang zhong de san wen chu nv zuo ,zheng shi tong wang zhe yi jing jie de ta huang zhe 。
这便使人想起今日大陆某些青年散文家们,一上手便是纯感性的路子,变成一种新的风花雪月,而忽略了知性和结构,总是走不出朱自清的踪迹、徐志摩的康桥,然而,发表了几十篇后,翻来覆去便难以为继了。大陆许多散文家的散文,总是单纯的抒情,没有深厚的文化价值和自觉的哲学追求,很难找到林清玄和董桥这样的雄厚实力,而余光中一上手便站在一个崭新的制高点上。如果缺乏深厚的国文功底,缺乏精通一国或数国外语的借鉴,缺乏知性作脊梁的感性,尽管开笔可能惊人,但到了某一层次,没有知性的推力,更是难得上攀一分之微。zhe bian shi ren xiang qi jin ri da liu mou xie qing nian san wen jia men ,yi shang shou bian shi chun gan xing de lu zi ,bian cheng yi chong xin de feng hua xue yue ,er hu lve le zhi xing he jie gou ,zong shi zou bu chu zhu zi qing de zong ji 、xu zhi ma de kang qiao ,ran er ,fa biao le ji shi pian hou ,fan lai fu qu bian nan yi wei ji le 。da liu hu duo san wen jia de san wen ,zong shi chan chun de shu qing ,mei you shen hou de wen hua jia zhi he zi jiao de zhe xue zhui qiu ,hen nan zhao dao lin qing xuan he dong qiao zhe yang de xiong hou shi li ,er yu guang zhong yi shang shou bian zhan zai yi ge chan xin de zhi gao dian shang 。ru guo que fa shen hou de guo wen gong de ,que fa jing tong yi guo huo shu guo wai yu de jie jian ,que fa zhi xing zuo ji liang de gan xing ,jin guan kai bi ke neng jing ren ,dan dao le mou yi ceng ci ,mei you zhi xing de tui li ,geng shi nan de shang pan yi fen zhi wei 。
  余光中的散文观,还有一点值得我们特别注意。对于五四新文学运动一开始所倡导的美文,当时的余光中反倒比大陆之后的《美文》派们更为清醒:  yu guang zhong de san wen guan ,hai you yi dian zhi de wo men te bie zhu yi 。dui yu wu si xin wen xue yun dong yi kai shi suo chang dao de mei wen ,dang shi de yu guang zhong fan dao bi da liu zhi hou de 《mei wen 》pa men geng wei qing xing :

在余光中第二本散文集《掌上雨》中,作者依然坚持:现代作家们有勇气面对残缺与丑恶,他们相信真实的丑比虚伪的美要耐看的多。zai yu guang zhong di er ben san wen ji 《zhang shang yu 》zhong ,zuo zhe yi ran jian chi :xian dai zuo jia men you yong qi mian dui can que yu chou e ,ta men xiang xin zhen shi de chou bi xu wei de mei yao nai kan de duo 。
我总觉得,余光中的价值,大概不仅仅得从文学范畴去寻找其意义,还应更放开眼界。如果说,殷海光先生在台湾哲学与思想界的意义在于:自命为五四后期的人物――正像许多后期人物一样,没有机会享受到五四时代人物的声华,但却有份遭受寂寞、凄凉和横逆的经历;而余光中则是创造性地继承了五四新文学的精神,并在寂寞、凄凉和横逆中把文学的本体全面推向新的高度的拓荒人。wo zong jiao de ,yu guang zhong de jia zhi ,da gai bu jin jin de cong wen xue fan chou qu xun zhao ji yi yi ,hai ying geng fang kai yan jie 。ru guo shui ,yan hai guang xian sheng zai tai wan zhe xue yu sai xiang jie de yi yi zai yu :zi ming wei wu si hou ji de ren wu ――zheng xiang hu duo hou ji ren wu yi yang ,mei you ji hui xiang shou dao wu si shi dai ren wu de sheng hua ,dan que you fen zao shou ji mo 、qi liang he heng ni de jing li ;er yu guang zhong ze shi chuang zao xing de ji cheng le wu si xin wen xue de jing shen ,bing zai ji mo 、qi liang he heng ni zhong ba wen xue de ben ti quan mian tui xiang xin de gao du de ta huang ren 。
